Yo! It's already the middle of November (kind of) and I've been slowing down a bit on the art....But I still drew a couple of stuff. Not going to lie to you: both of them are Yu Yu Hakusho fanart.
Now if it isn't obvious by now, Yu Yu Hakusho is one of my favorite animated shows of all time--it is literally the reason that I started to really pursue art in the first place. With that being said, I always look for excuses to draw the characters from the show and the tumblr community gave me a reason once again.
I drew two pictures highlighting three characters: Yusuke Urameshi (Right), Hiei (Left), and Koenma (Not shown). The one on the left there is the better drawing, haha so I'm gonna talk about this one. It was based off a fanfiction called Forty Years in the Making and it summed up the characters' relationships quite nicely. It was supposed to be a little spooky so I went with the dramatic lighting.
And I worked really, really hard on it. I'm so proud of this piece. I just hope that all of my hard work shows!
Forty Years in the Making: The Process
And as usual, I do have pictures of the steps I took to make this piece, which really came down to using...a lot of yellow posted notes for my thumbnail drawings. Honestly, I don't mind working with posted notes and I will probably use more of them in the future.
And yeah, that's all I have to show right now but of course there will be more art on the way. Hope everyone is trying to enjoy their November.
See you guys later!
